PPSU Natural Powder — 140 Mesh

RENU™ PPSU NAT-MP140 is a precision-milled polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) powder produced from clean post-industrial natural-grade recycled PPSU scrap. PPSU is an amorphous, high-performance thermoplastic from the polysulfone family that combines excellent hydrolytic stability, outstanding impact resistance, and the highest heat resistance in the polysulfone family. Unlike polysulfone (PSU) and polyethersulfone (PES), PPSU provides significantly improved impact resistance and can be repeatedly autoclaved at 134°C without degradation — making it highly valuable for sterilizable non-implantable medical and laboratory equipment. The 140-mesh grade is suitable for powder coating and compression molding applications.

Non-Critical Medical Devices

Autoclavable trays, instrument handles, housings, and sterilization containers — non-implantable

Laboratory Equipment

Reusable lab-ware requiring repeated steam sterilization and chemical resistance

Powder Coating

High-impact chemical-resistant coatings for equipment in pharmaceutical and food processing

Processing Notes

PPSU is hygroscopic — dry at 120–130°C for 4 hours before all processing.

PPSU’s key advantage over PSU and PES is dramatically higher impact strength combined with equivalent or better thermal and chemical resistance.

Highest recommended choice for applications requiring repeated autoclave sterilization.
